Announcement: Family, work and other hobbies have been keeping me busy over the last years, but I am planing to get some new music and recordings online in summer of 2019. I bought myself a Roland MT-32, Roland SC-55 ST and Roland SC-88 over the last years and now I am going to record all the Ultima-Music again with higher quality and will bring it online in a lossless format. Furthermore I got my hands on a Asus Xonar Essence STX Soundcard which offers a high quality recording mode with an excellent signal noise reduction of 124 dB.

Orign Audio Volume 2
Redone the Origin Audio Vol. 2. Finally got my hands on a complete CD with cover and no scratches. Cover will follow.

A rare Promotion CD release in Japan for the Nintendo NES converstion of Ultima III Exodus. The original musical score of the Apple II / Commodore 64 soundtrack has been remixed by Japanese musicians. A conversion from the original 44 khz CD to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160).

The old soundtracks were played on a Terratec Wave System Professional 4 MByte Wavetable-ROM and uploaded as 160 kBits/s mp3. The new soundtracks were played on a Roland Soundcanvas 55 and recorded with a Soundblaster Audigy with a sample rate of 48 khz (wave) and converted to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160).

The 160 kBits/s mp3 soundtrack has been replaced by a conversion from the original 44 khz wave files to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160).
Ultima VII The black gate and The Serpent Isle
The old soundtrack was a mixture of my own high quality recordings and some mp3 low quality files found on the internet. Now the whole soundtrack has been rerecorded played on a Roland LAPC-I and recorded with a Soundblaster Audigy with a sample rate of 48 khz (wave) and converted to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160). I also added seven missing files and remixed some titles (looped or shortened). Now these should be all the Ultima VII music.
Ultima VIII Pagan

I like both versions and therefor you can choose between them.
Ultima IX Ascension
The 160 kBits/s mp3 soundtrack has been replaced by a conversion from the original 16 bit 22 khz game rip wave files to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160).

The 160 kBits/s mp3 soundtrack has been replaced by a conversion from the original 44 khz CD to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160). The coverartwork has been replaced with better quality and a cleaner/smoother black/white scan.
Origin Soundtrack Series
The 128 - 160 kBits/s mp3 soundtrack has been replaced by a conversion from the original 44 khz CD to high quality 5 OGG (nominal rate 160). I also corrected the Strike Commander Soundtrack, which is now identical to the original CD.

Announcement of new soundtracks:
New music files are coming !
I just finished recording and mixing all soundtracks again. I recently bought a Roland Sound Canvas 55 device and I recorded the Soundtracks for Ultima 3,4,5,8 and Ultima Online - The shattered legacy. I also rerecorded the whole Ultima 7 Soundtrack with my Roland LAPC-I with ALL missing files and in much better quality.
Furthermore I got my hands on the rare Japanese Ultima 3 Remix Promosoundtrack.
I will also switch the compression rates for the downloadfiles from 160 kbs MP3 to OGG quality 6, which sounds much better while using less disc space. Therefore the Origin Audio Volumes (which were also reripped) sound more like the original cd.
PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE UPDATE MAY TAKE A WHILE ! It is almost 1 GB for upload. Expect the update to be finished at the end of October, because the coverartwork must still be overworked.
